Uuntzbrella 3.0

August 17, 2016

According to the Canadian Mental Health Association, nearly 20 per cent of people experience the “winter blues”.

The Pacific Northwest continues to seek out  fun and unique ways to celebrate community, in the rain.

Enter, the Uuntzbrella – a public, coin-operated, all-weather, dance floor. Insert 25 cents into the Uuntzbrella and you get 25 minutes of uninterrupted power (lights and sound). Connect your music device and play your favourite tunes (your own personal Uuntz) and watch the strangers around you come alive as they boogie to your beats.

After winning the “People’s Choice Award” at KAPOW 2016 (Bellingham’s annual place-making competition), the Provibers have advanced into planning stages for this amazing community engagement project which will debut in the city of Bellingham by the spring of 2017. This is not a permanent structure! In fact we hope that other cities around Cascadia will offer an invitation to host the Uuntzbrella next.  To make this project a reality, however we need your help!

Please help us make this project a reality by:

a) Donating here 🙂

b) Checking back as we’ll be launching other awesome opportunities for fundraising very soon!
